This Release and Waiver of Liability (“Release”) is entered into between me and Halo Event Co. (ABN 25680771706)
I acknowledge that the Halo Event Co’s 360 video platform experience involves stepping onto the device platform in close proximity to a rotating mount holding a phone, ring light, and other possible devices and machinery. I acknowledge the risks of the experience and recording a video, such risks including (without limitation) that I have to step up onto the platform. I agree that: (i) I shall not touch and/or interfere with any of the devices or machines; (ii) I am not under the influence of or affected by illicit drugs and/or alcohol; and (iii) I agree to follow all instructions and directions given to me by the Halo Event Co staff at all times.
I release and forever discharge and hold harmless Halo Event Co and its affiliates, successors and assigns and each of the foregoing parties' directors, officers, employees, contractors and agents (each a “Halo Event Co Party” and collectively the “Halo Event Co Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from or in connection with my participation in the Halo Event Co 360 video platform experience.
I understand and acknowledge that this Release discharges Halo Event Co Party from any liability or claim that I may have against such Halo Event Co Party with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from or in connection with my participation in this Halo Event Co 360 video platform experience. Should an accident or other medical emergency occur and Halo Event Co staff members are unable to timely reach emergency contacts for medical authorizations, I hereby give consent for Halo Event Co staff members to authorize medical treatment. I hereby release and forever discharge each Halo Event Co Party from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first aid treatment or other medical services rendered in connection with an emergency during my tenure as a volunteer with Halo Event Co.
I consent to photographs and videos taken of me to be used for promotional, marketing, advertising, and publicity purposes including television, film, internet, social media, and other forms of media without any entitlement to any compensation, reward, or financial entitlement.
I expressly agree that this release is intended to be as a broad and inclusive as permitted in accordance with the laws in the relevant state in which the Halo Event Co video platform experience takes place. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this release is deemed invalid, the enforceability of the remaining provisions of this release shall not be affected.
By signing this waiver and release I acknowledge and agree that I have read, understood, and agree to terms of the above waiver, including the provisions that I (on my own behalf and on behalf of any participating child of whom I am a parent or guardian) assume certain risks, waive rights to sue, and grant certain releases from liability to Halo Event Co, it’s related parties and other persons involved in the event I confirm that I am over the age of 16 and if I am under the age of 18, I will be accompanied at all times on the Halo Event Co Video platform experience by an adult who is my parent or legal guardian.
